Recently I had the oportunity to see a couple of brilliant exhibition. Elton Johns photograpy collection and the Hockey exhibition at the Tate recently. Normally I find the paid exibition either exhaustive or not comprehensive enough but both of this exhibitions were brilliant. I was particularly impressed with the Hockney exhibition. I guess I went with the expectation that there was going to be a lot of swiming pools... but no, it covered his whole career and what amazing work. His studies of reflection and water were incredible and his most recent work on ipads and films a total surprise. Totally worth it, not enough superlatives to describe it. The only drag was the amount of people, but then again it was a rainy sunday!
